Les Onigiris
Last week, I went to Europe for a conference.
Europe is a challenging destination, mainly because of how far it is.
The round-trip travel time was about 35 hours!
There was a surprising amount of Japanese influence in France.
Many of the grocery stores sold onigiri. Flavors were also interesting.
For example, baked salmon with cream cheese and yakitori sauce was one choice.
Each onigiri was priced at 3.5 EUR or about 600 JPY.
The popularity of manga and anime cannot be understated.
This manga and anime shop had two floors full of books, movies, and figurines.
It looked like a small part of Akihabara.
Monaco held some fun memorabilia due to hosting an F1 race every year.
It is the second smallest country by land size, and most densely populated country in the world.
This was a good, productive trip, and I hope to recover soon.
