While browsing the magazines at Tsutaya the other day, I found this magazine about “California Style”.

Coincidentally, the magazine’s cover featured a picture of one spot in my neighborhood – 40th Street in Manhattan Beach. This is where I used to swim and surf as a kid, and then later run by on weekends. There are always people playing beach volleyball, surfing, and walking along the beach.

The advantages of living near the beach are great, but nothing is the same as in Tokyo. And that’s why I like Tokyo. Even though I’ve been here for a little while now, the city is constantly changing and there is always something new to see, eat, or do.
